How much does it cost?

Does it really heat the room?
Yes. In winter the unit runs in reverse and pulls heat out of the outside air, even on a cold day, and blows it into the room. It is the same kind of technology as a heat pump.
Is it noisy?
The noisy part, the compressor, is in the outdoor unit. Indoors you hear a soft rush of air, and most units have a quiet setting for bedrooms.
Will it make a mess?
The pipes and cable go through one hole in the wall, and we agree the route on the survey. Dust sheets go down before we start and we clear up before we leave.
Will the outdoor unit be on show?
We look for the most discreet spot that still works: the back or side of the house, low on a wall, or on the ground behind planting with room around it for air. You decide where it goes.
Do I need planning permission?
Often not, but listed buildings and conservation areas have their own rules about what can go on the outside of the house. We check this on the survey and tell you before you commit.
Who is allowed to fit it?
Only F-Gas certified engineers can handle the refrigerant gas inside an air conditioning unit. It is a legal requirement, so ask any installer for their certificate number.
Does it need servicing?
A yearly service keeps it running well, and some manufacturers ask for one to keep the guarantee valid. [Confirm Danny offers servicing, and the price]
